How does Secret Santa?

Create a game and send one link to your group. Once everyone joins, the service draws the names privately. Each player sees only the person they are buying for.

From creating the game to exchanging gifts

Four simple steps so everyone knows what to do — without knowing who is preparing their own gift.

Step 01

Create a game

Choose who you are playing with, give the game a name and set the date and budget. Add anything the group should know before joining to the rules.

  • Game type and name
  • Date and budget
  • Rules and cover image
Step 02

Invite your group

Send the link to friends, family or coworkers. They can review the details and join from their phone — one message in the group chat is enough.

  • One link for everyone
  • Details shown before joining
  • Easy to join by phone
Step 03

Draw the Secret Santa names

Once the whole group has joined, the service creates random matches. Nobody can draw themselves, and each player sees only their own recipient.

  • No self-draws
  • Every match stays private
  • Everyone sees only their result
Step 04

Share wishes and prepare the gifts

Everyone can add a few wishes or a complete wishlist. Santa gets useful clues, chooses a gift, and the group opens their surprises on the agreed day.

  • Several wishes to choose from
  • No more blind guessing
  • The surprise stays intact

What can each person see?

Everyone sees different information. The game details are shared with the group, while each player’s match remains private.

Organiser

Creates the game, sets the date, budget and rules, sends invitations and sees who has joined.

The full draw stays secret from the organiser too.

Secret Santa

Sees the game details, their recipient’s name and wishes. Other matches are not available.

Their gift remains a surprise.

Gift recipient

Adds their wishes and waits for the gift without seeing who became their Santa.

Santa’s identity is revealed only at the celebration.

Agree on the details before you begin

Set the important details before the draw, so everyone knows what kind of gift to prepare and when it needs to be ready.
